Bad Day

Couldn't sleep last night. Recurring dream about making my maiden speech in the House of Lords (getting a bit ahead of myself there, methinks), bad 18 holes of golf and I get home to find the blog seems to be broken with only the top story on display. No idea how to fix it. HELP. Please leave a comment if you can see more than the top story.

UPDATE: 15.58 All seems to be fine now. Phew. No more comments please! Will now try to think of something interesting to write. Choices: David Beckham, Terry Venables, Ian Gibson & in-breeding, have another go at Prescott or LibDem tax proposals. I need a lie down.

I can see more posts - although they are downloading very slowly

Can see everything.

It all seems very strange. Was fine this morning, now I can only see this story on the page. If I wait 30 seconds, the next one comes up (channel 4 morning podcast), and then 30 seconds after that, the others come up. Sorry, but I have no idea as to what's causing it. Will have a look to see if the same problem occurs on firefox for you.

I can read all your stories! Still waiting for you guys to (a) land some decent punches on Bliar and Liebour, and (b) get off the fence on the trashing of Lebanon. The middle ground voters are waiting, and Rifkind seems to be saying a lot! Regards, Morty.

It's your blog as opposed to my browser. Same problems with firefox.

It loads for me but its incredibly slow (several minutes). Maybe one of your ad partners etc. is playing up?

I think the problem with the blog is a problem with the adserver. After a very long wait, I can now see 6 stories on the front page -- make that 8 now -- down to "Where's John Prescott?"

Apple Mac is, as ever, delivering 100%. I can read, comment, listen, email... all good Mr Dale.

Ian, Sorry, can't help - it's taking ages to load on Firefox and almost as long on AOL but note that as from yesterday all the blogs I looked at were slower..... I blame the Newcapitalist, Newrunning, Newdog, Newswine, Newlyrabid Dr.Strangereid...

Seems fine to me

seems to be OK now.

Blogger is so unreliable these days. You should defnitately move elsewhere. You can still set your blogspot address to forward to anywhere.

You seem to be doing something right. It's still slower than usual, but faster than it was before, when it seemed to stick on on the top story. The lower stories are still taking time to appear, but only about 2 or 3 seconds now. Maybe it's your host?

All posts coming down like a train now -- whoosh

It's MI5 sucking up the posts. Don't answer the front door!

Mr Dale,

His Grace occasionally suffers this sort of inconvenience. Sometimes it is only the top post that is visible with no facility to leave comments.

Prayer (or was it irate cursing?) led me to simply enter the control panel, log into template, click 'save changes' (without making any), and 'republish blog'.

This fixes it every time.

"Recurring dream about making my maiden speech in the House of Lords (getting a bit ahead of myself there, methinks)".

Could be an omen, perhaps you're destined to win the lottery. There's a rollover this weekend. If I were you I'd nip out and buy a ticket.

I can see all your posts.

I can see all the posts but the last couple of days when I read the comments it takes forever for the page to reload when I return to your blog. It's really annoying. Is it just me?

No problems here!

Interesting. For the last couple of days, I've been irritated by not being able to see the new posts. The August archive seems to work okay though. Unless you've posted something new.

Wasn't working 1300 other than first post . Now working. And quick probably like your downswing.

I see the full list as usual.
