David Jones appointed Minister of State at the Welsh Office, deputy to Cheryl Gillan. At least he's qualified, he represents a Welsh constituency, lives in Wales and does a reasonable job of speaking Welsh and his wife is Welsh speaking. Let's hope he helps Cheryl avoid a Redwood moment with the anthem!!
Pauline Neville-Jones is Baroness Neville-Jones.
Doesn't it remind you of Sir Humphrey the Downing Street cat? PUSS,PUSS,PUSS...
What Steve Webb doesn't know about Pensions isn't worth knowing and having him there is a really good thing.
Super to see Sarah there too.
So are we to conclude that Nick Clegg will be Leader of the House because there doesn't seem to be one listed?
"DCLG: Greg Clark, Minister of State for decentralisation"
Disappointing demotion, but a worthy office...
Desperate to find out who is Europe Minister - or maybe the post will be abolished. LOL

It's Sir George Young

Surprised that Lynne Featherstone, David Heath or Michael Moore have not got anything from the LD side yet. To me they always seemed some of the most able when in opposition.
Ha! Damian Green getting immigration. Perfect.
Is there any pretext under which Jacqui Smith could be arrested?
WHO IS EUROPE MINISTER?
As a colonial I have no idea what PUSS is. Anybody help?
Parliamentary Under Secretary of State.
Is there any pretext under which Jacqui Smith could be arrested?
If the Tories had stormed the Home Office before the senior civil servants started deleting and shredding, then yes, very probably. The Home Office enforce the law, just not on themselves. Some unlawful act probably happens every hour in the Home Office because no one knows what the hell the law is anymore and ultimately the Home Sec is responsible. However, the last government made sure it filled its most senior and closest members of staff with party sympathisers eventually, so Mrs May may have had a full in tray this morning, but none of it will be a briefing on what is ACTUALLY going on and all evidence of CURRENT secret amnesties etc will have disappeared into thin air as will stats or complaints about illegal detentions and other infringements of Human Rights..... not to mention the huge amount of tribunals that will have to be paid for
If they have any sense, they will completely clear the cabinet office of it's incumbant civil servants and have a massive cull at grade 7 and above, then get the stalwart old-timers on the front lines to tell them what's really been going on. Labour only listened to the ambitious, the Tories should listen to experience while there is any left.
Is Bercow likely to be replaced?
One question - you have named Ed Vaizey for Culture but he isnt on the list that you have hyperlinked through to on the FT website.
Are you sure about this appointment?
I cant find it reported anywhere else.
Ta, Gallimaufry.
