The Last Letter From a Tory

It was with some sadness that I read tonight that the Letters From a Tory blog has given up th ghost. It's been a must read for several years now and it's a shame we won't be able to read his epistles anymore. I've known the author, who has always remained anonymous, for a number of years and played a small part in helping him get the blog off the ground. I really wish him well in his future endeavours.

Say goodbye to him HERE.

If Letters From A Tory are no more, then Letters From A Liberated Tory will surely be coming shortly.

One idea of the world yields to another. That's how we survive. The essence of conservatism is that we keep the good of what we have, and adapt it by steps, and add to it, not burn the past into nothingness, and construct a new world based on impractical idealism.

If we add Liberal notions to Conservative, it liberates conservatism, from having to fight on two fronts, and brings more supporters. The two philosophies are not in conflict.

It is a shame if the new alliance alienates soem of the originals. I look forward to Letters From A Liberated Tory. Make that Letters From A Liberator.
