I would prefer Konnie Huq, where can I vote for that?

Jeremy Paxman is the only one with the stature. But nobody will ever be better than Robin Day.

Given the BBC's desire to dumb down its political output, aren't you being a little presumptuous in assuming it will be an established political/news broadcaster?

What odds June Sarpong or Katie Price?

I voted for Paxman but I think Evan Davis would be good. None of the others are intelligent enough.

Iain : Haven't you just asked the same question at "Who Should Succeed David Dimbleby?" . . . .

PETER STRINGFELLOW

Do it.

can't we have 'none of the above' as a choice?
or, better, 'it's crap, let's spend the money on bringing Yesterday In Parliament on to digital and FM'.

I've cast my vote (unfortunately Evan Davies was not on the list), but I don't recall seeing the results of the last poll you did, Ian

None of the above....sack the lot and sell the BBC!

I also think David Frost take over as chairman of I'm Sorry I haven't a clue.

Why does it have to be an existing BBC drone? I'd vote for an outsider, like that Dale chap.

Failing that, and if it has to be a BBC insider, then Justin Webb, sadly not on the list.

Sure to be a proud Scot.

Well as the EUBC are moving it to the Scotch Region to be nearer to McLabours stronghold, i think its only fair that an anti-English communist Scot chairs the show.

What no Evan Davis?

Throwing this out there, Kirsty Young? I just cant stand nearly everyone on that list!

"Given the BBC's desire to dumb down its political output..."

This makes Iain Dale a prime candidate for the job.

Anyone is better than Dimbleby. Last week in particular he demonstrated just how a chairman should not operate. HE has become question master/contributor/heckler/interupter/annoying!!

When will Question Time have a panel of NON politicians to answer questions instead of this stale someone from each party approach!

It is stale and ridiculous. Lets have real people along who will slate the government and politicians in general.

Martha H. only non-partisan on list. And programme should follow format suggested by strapworld.

In the spirit of BBC impartiality probably Dolly Draper or Alistair Campbell would make best candidates

Jeremy Clarkson - too expensive?

Trevor McDonut.

I can't decide between Ant or Dec.

Wot no Jon Sopel?

Judging by the usual impartiality shown by the BBC I suggest that Gordon Brown would be the ideal candidate.

It should obviously be Lesley Riddoch or, as I call her, the Scottish Paxman with real teeth...
