As you know, I've had quite a good time at the LibDem conference this week. I wasn't going to bother turning up tomorrow for the Leader's Speech, but the LibDems seem to have had a change of leader without me noticing. Click HERE and scroll down the agenda to 11.30am...
11:30 - F49 Speech by the Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Rt Hon Charles Kennedy MP
Chair: Simon Hughes MP (President of the Liberal Democrats)
Aide: Duncan Brack (Chair, Federal Conference Committee)
Perhaps Ming got bad news from the Electoral Commission Doctors Stand which he visited this morning (see pic).
PS Just my little joke - it's the 2005 agenda, which for some reason is still on the LibDems website!

"Electoral Commission Doctors Stand"
Tut tut Iain. Not only have you shown scant regard for apostrophes, but I'll think you'll find the stand belongs to the Electoral Reform Society, not the Electoral Commission.
That seems to be last year's agenda...pity though.
If they can not run there own conference... ...I wonder what they would be like in charge of Councils. GULP
2005. Sloppy mistake Dale
Err... that's the conference agenda from last year, Iain.
D'oh!
Also, it's a bit cheeky to link to last year's agenda.
Slow news day?
Good spot.
I'll just grab a screen shot for posterity.
You might want to look in the right year Iain ;0)

Ah it's 2005 - Doh.
check the date - it says 22 September 2005
As much I would love this cock up on the Dim Leb website to be true. The agenda is actually from 2005-it says at the top of the page.
last year's agenda (look at the date!)...link on the site is now correct.
Go on Iain - read the top of the page, the bit that says "2005" and have a guess as to which year the page you are looking at is from ...
Conference 2005
On a serious note poor old sir Ming has less than 5 years to live, that is if you take in to account the average life expectancy for somebody with his kind of cancer.
I say lay off the old boy he seems a decent if deluded old cove who you could trust to house sit for you.
Peter Hitchins, you have as bleak an outlook as the columnist you share your name with. Ming seems to have kept himself pretty fit. He has a good chance of lasting more than 5 years.
Well spotted. Btw, Cicero's Songs is having a go at you.
"Iain attended a fringe meeting last night- I would link to his blog of it, but to be honest it doesn't show him in a particularly good light. While I don't expect him to engage with Liberal arguments, it would be nice if he could bring himself to do more than simply mock his political opponents."
Keep on mocking, Iain. It's getting to them.
Cicero's Songs
As for mocking the Liberals, what else can one realistically do?
They are not going to be in power, ever, and, when there is a hung parliament they will be the ones who bugger it up.
None of them seems to be capable of living like a normal human being or having any cogent philosophical basis for their views and their current leader is doing a very good impression of Ronald Reagan, only without the snappy one liners.
