Tory MP Accepts Apology from Sunday Times

Following a report last weekend in the Sunday Times about the salary that he was alleged to be paying his wife for secretarial work, Julian Brazier has today received an apology from the newspaper.

Dear Mr Brazier,

I’m writing to apologise for this mistake and for the embarrassment it has no doubt caused you and your wife. It was due to a foolish misunderstanding by the reporter involved. We will be printing an apology and correction next Sunday.

Yours sincerely,

Bob Tyrer
Associate Editor
Sunday Times
Brazier has acceptd the apology and regards the matter as closed. Credit to the Sunday Times for apologising so quickly and comprehensively.

But the lie is still abroad, apology notwithstanding. Brazier should go for recompense too. After all, that's the game.

Greater credit to Brazier for not jumping on the 'kompensation kulture'train.

The Times is still behind the dead-in -the-water Brown oddyssey. Same up here with the dead tree press and Bendy Wendy. The other day they were trying to make a story out of George Osborne's kids going to a private school.

When will they learn? The winds of change, etc.

I don't think that MPs should have to declare the way in which they dispose of the income streams available to them. It's bloody vulgar.

BUT

Should it happen that it be leaked that one or other of the buggers be taking the piss then they really should be tarred and feathered before being mished by a road roller of suitably enormous mass.
