Nominate Your Most Fanciable Political Journalists

With the Sky News team naming their most fanciable MPs and Danny Finkelstein giving his thoughts too, I thought it was payback time for the political classes. Later today I will be posting a list (yes, it's been some time, after all) of BRITAIN'S TOP TEN (if we can get to ten!) MOST FANCIABLE POLITICAL JOURNALISTS. To help me on my way, you may care to make some nominations, together with your reasons. Keep it clean please. Well, moderately.

A couple of female lobby hacks did this a few years ago Iain. Trevor Kavanagh came top, and I came 17th. Apparently.

I second the Jenny Scott nomination.

Francine Stock when she presented Newsnight during Gulf War One. Game, Set, Match, Championship and a copy of the Angling Times.

Oh come on its got to be Melissa Kite ,I have no idea what she looks like but on the basis she never gets anything right and yet holdsdown a job she must be bloody gorgeous . This is a FOXIER-MORON theory.
However Naomi Campbell interviewed Hugo Chavez for GQ so I think she counts and clearly ,on that basis , is the sexiest poltical jounallist around by a country mile.

There you have it Naomi Campbell or Melissa Kite.

Gaby Hinsliff at the Obs. Sharp and sexy and given a beat she could win a dance contest standing in a bucket.
I de-nominate GPW too, coz he'll be desperate to get on the list.

Julia Hartley Brewer, Jenny Powell,
Emily Maitlis. Brains with beauty.

Re the Maitlis nomination - the rules say "journalist". Not "professional pouter and c-list celeb who distracts middle-aged politicians from staying on their briefs by thinking about her briefs".

Our (female) PPC (who has threatened me with castration if I identify her) once called me in quite a breathless state having just spent a few hours chatting with The Spectator's Fraser Nelson.

Allegedly the room was quite hot, and Fraser's suede suit was clinging to every muscle leaving very little to the imagintion.

Therefore, on her behalf, I nominate the suede suited Fraser.

Cathy Newman c4

Simon Heffer.

No, only joking.

Reeta Chakrabarti was on my staircase at Oxford, and I am still surprised when I see her on TV.

Laura Kuenssberg. I just want to roll around with her in the hay and then have an intelligent chat about politics. Bliss. And then, I would ask her to tie me up and pelt me with deep fried pizzas.

The wonderful David Grossman of Newsnight fame.
Gorgeous, funny and brilliant.

Oh God it has to be Andrew Porter - he is HOT!
