Platform 10 last paragraph goes off topic and is interesting - about how to present campaign ideas.
Obama's 'Yes We Can' gives hope while Conservative 'Broken Society' offers no solution.
I'm glad Platform 10 is in there, a very sensible group.

Stephen Pollard's blog. That was terribly funny.
Tapestry, Obama's 'Yes We Can' is moronic (I'm not saying Obama is moronic). It's on the same level of Blair's "Forward, not back." But Obama's best - even better than 'Yes We Can' is 'Change you can believe in'. This is my favourite for slippery, manipulative, political vacuity.
Verity - from such material elections are won, and the world changed.
How can vacuity be manipulative or slippery? If it is either of the two, then it cannot be.
Elections are decided by people who don't give a monkeys about politics, not the addicts that live on Dale. They like it simple and positive.
Obama has more detailed messages. You can find them on his site.
‘Yes we can’ , was originally a popular catch phrase for 'Bob the Builder' .This opens up a whole new line in child friendly political key notes .

Hey Iain did you see Brain Cathcart dissing you in the New Statesman he seems to think you have been inconsistent on the Conway scandal ?
Wasn't Bob The Buider's slogan "Yes, We Can"?
Someone should cobble together an Obama video with the Bob the Builder theme tune.
"Can we fix it?"
Donal's comments on Centre Right are spot on, by the way.
Welcome back, The Daley Dozen!
Cicero's Songs has the right idea. I make the case for economic liberalism, and explain why the LibDems are the true liberals and Snooty Dave and his pals are false, at LibDem Voice on a very nice thread.
Newmania, absolutely top post @9.23. I'm trying to think of a way Obama ,Cinton or McCain could use the catchphrase 'spirit of 1776 even' from the Funky Phantom circa 1973.
Tapestry - I would probably gnaw my own leg off I would go to Obama's site for "more detailed messages".
The man's a vacuous, inexperienced poseur who, for reasons yet to become apparent, thinks he is fit to be the most powerful person in the world. He is delusional in the same way that Tony Blair is delusional. Were he to become president, and were the checks and balances in the United States government not far superior to those in Britain, he would be as dangerous as Tony Blair.
Fortunately, this isn't going to happen.
It seems that ConHome may follow the trail blazed by Centre Right and get rid of the comments function, so says Tim Montgomerie on Donal's blog:
Tim Montgomerie said...
We are on the verge of giving up on allowing comments Donal. We've had a steady stream of complaints and are about to change policy. We've never been against comments in principle - only concerned about the time-consuming business of managing them.

i think you have got the wrong end of the stick. Tim meant that they would now allow comments on Centre Right.
Verity knows the future.
She will go down a blast on political betting.
