Interview: Craig Fuller on the aftermath of Super Tuesday

I have finally worked out how to make a film on my new Mac and upload it to Youtube. Click on the video box on the right to watch a 7 minute interview I recorded earlier today with Craig Fuller, who was George H W Bush's Chief of Staff when he was Vice President. I met him at the offices of APCO Worldwide in Washington. We talk about the aftermath of Super Tuesday and a little about his former boss.

I'll be talking to Newt Gingrich on Saturday.

Sorry, Iain, really boring. An interview with some former functionary of the un-notable ex-leader (from 16 years back) of a foreign country. Zonino! - as these young people say.

What next? An interview with the man who used to live next door to Jacques Delors' shoeshine man?

I agree with the first comment.

And his comments were tailored to what he thought an English person wanted to hear. Not to be dismissive of this man in any way, but he was a spokesman for events 20 years ago.

This isn't meant to sound dismissive, and clearly he held one of the world's powerful insider positins and he's very smart and articulate, but I don't think he brings anything to the table today. He's not close to the centre of power any more, such is the nature of change.

Talking with Newt should be fun, he's got lots of ideas and has a sense of humour too.

'senior executive vice president' ??

Mind you they probably laugh at us with our ridiculous 'upper lower middle class' type convolutions...

Divided by a common language...
