Tories Gain Two Council Seats from LibDems

Some interesting local government by-election results which you can see in full HERE. The Conservatives gained two seats from the LibDems, one in Monmouth and one in test Valley, Hampshire. The Libs also came a poor fourth in a Glasgow by-election. The Guardian postulates the theory that the party most likely to beat Labour does best, and that is a trend I think we will see in the future, especially in Parliamentary by-elections.
