Some Things Never Change
I have had an enquiry from Sweden about the origins of this political poster. I assume it was for the 1935 election. Can anyone shed any light on it?
(Long time lurker, first time poster...)
According to this site -
it's from 1931. the description of poster 22 against that year seems to match exactly.
Is this the most exciting thing you can come up with today ? I thought you were trouncing Guido, but think he's got the jump on you today..
The 'star' of this advert bears a shocking resemblance to a youthful version of that enemy of Socialism and godfather of National (sorry, New) Labour, Tony Blair.
Could it be his dad?
Its that bloke who was stopped and searched outside Scotland Yard appearing to waste more money!
looks a bit like Gordon Browns Homunculus Ed Balls in a ginger wig.
A timeless classic - never more applicable.
1935? That's Brown. Now.
