The Lib Dems are a complete waste of space as are their supporters! They cannot bare to have any comment or joke about their crap outfit unless they find it acceptable or it benifits them in someway.

I used to frequent another website, I was asked to only post a few comments a day from now on - Have I got News: I won't be posting at all now!

I have defected to Dale!

Nick Clegg is loser!

It would not surprise me if he lost in Sheffield Hallam! Why not have Jeremy Clarkson as the Tory candidate. He probably has wider name recognition than Clegg anyway!

Nick Clegg = Neil Kinnock without the safe seat!

Chris Huhne is likely to go down to a humilating defeat as well! Clegg & Huhne are like third rate comedians, indeed they probably rank along side Cannon and Ball in the comparable stakes for their positioning to the top of their profession!

Mind you LD's seem as bad at predicting election results in this country as in the US. I heard of a group of LD Turkey's thinking they are going to retain most of the LD seats come the next election! Yes, right and no doubt these same MP's will be hurding Dodo birds as well in their spare time. What a joke of a party the LD's have become - I think they need firstly to read the book on Hubris by Dr David Owen and secondly take a reality check! I was amused this evening to here that Clegg has said the Tories are Cowboys and the LD's were the real alternative to Labour. Now let me think, I am sure I saw Clegg dressed as a Cowboy last year on an election result program - No doubt a self-important Pompus LD will have complained about that as well. I look forward to the said Pompus LD watching Nick Clegg getting in a Yellow Taxi on BBC election night, rolling a Neil Kinnock latex mask on his head and driving off to a new career!!! The BBC may even push the boat out and put a Reggie Perrin moment in at the end! I can hear the music now!

I thought it interesting that the panel who chose the winner included the partner of one of the nominees and the nominees were chosen by the panel.

Only with people who A) Take themselves to seriously B) Take a different line with different contributors who post under different names and post just as much as I do on the same name! C) Listen too much to their LD commrades, who have no sense of humour or grip on electoral rationality. D) Not realise the customer is always right.
E) Persisistanly call things incorrectly and at times badly wrong, then succomb to a bunch of babies and place technical barriers to posters (Yes, I had noticed!)or communicate directly stupid messages.

Yes, thanks Iain for letting me Post this in relation to other site!

Martin, weren't the tories wiped out in Chris Huhne and Nick Clegg's constituencies in the local elections this year ?

Norfolf Blogger,

Local elections in a couple of seats are never a good indicator of General election results: People elect MP's to represent them in parliament and hold the government to account, not waste time and money on Dog excrement clean up programs and litter collections.

The LD's are a joke party, the leader is absolutly out of his depth, with no idea where he is going, how to achieve the strategy or even utilise his deminishing resources to best effect.

I don't think the Dad's army approach the LD's deploy will do them any good at the next election and I look forward to the extermination of the LD party, so it can be stuffed rather like a dead parrot!

The last person who made reference to dead parrots about the lib Dems was out of power a few weeks later.

You specifically mentioned Eastleigh and Sheffield, I pointed out that the facts prove otherwise.

The Tories spent a small fortune in EAstleigh last time and failed to win when the lib Dems were fielding a new candidate and where the Tories were running with the candidate from the previous election. If they couldn't win then, well work it out.

Norfolk Blogger - The Tories are between 10-15% higher in the polls than 2005! Where as the LD's are between 5-8% lower.

In Eastleigh the Tories were 500 votes or so behind Huhne - I think Hunhne is doomed!

What you fail to realise is, tactical voting will deminish. The LDs have not been above 20,000 votes since before 1997 and Huhne is doomed! The last time the Tories won a GE in 1992 in Eastleigh, they got 38,000 votes!

Sheffield Hallam is also on redrawn boundaries and could well cause a problem for Clegg, this seat is prosperous - the voters his new Target seats against Labour are for a completely different set of voters and therefore policies. Clegg will be watched very closely on the policies he puts forward in Sheffield Hallam and the reaction his left-wing party members and candidates advocate.

LD's need to have a reality check - leaflets on dog excrement and other "pavement politics" will do the LD's no good when people want a change from the socialist nonsense Labour is drifting into.
