Correction #1: It is Lisa Harker, not Harper.
Correction #2: Claire Fox leftwing???? What planet are you on??? She is a reactionary rentagob. She is one of those people who makes a living by advertising themselves as a leftwinger but only ever saying very rightwing things. It's meant to be counterintuitive, but the reality is actually that she is just rightwing.
Sorry but aAnyone who seriously thinks Jon Cruddas is less influential than Nicola Sturgeon, Jeremy Beecham or Yasmin Alibhai Brown clearly knows absolutely nothing about the Labour Party.
Cruddas may not be the next leader of the party, but he will have a pretty big say in whoever is.
George Monbiot - of the left ? And Alan Sugar !
What an excellent little list. I have copied it to my little black book so when the revolution comes, up against the wall and.... ratatatatat...
No seriously, what a tragedy for Socialism, that it gets such followers as these. All clever people but unable to sustain a rational argument in favour of their political philosophy. Soured to a man by envy. Self flattered by their own cleverness. Mired in the class system. Trying to measure their success by the failures of others. Surely such a philosophy with such noble aims deserves better than this.
Mind you it is impossible to argue rationally for socialism, so maybe they are doomed before they start.
My "leftwinger" covers a lot doesn't it? From quasi-fascists to neo-libertarians, and all the crazed humanity-hating superpuritans and equalitarian bring-back-Soviet-power nationalizers too.
Cruddas left wing, the bloke was a Blair follower, he signed up for everything Blair asked, when Blair said he was leaving he had nowhere to go, so decided OK I'll go left.
Then when he spoke about not backing the 42 detention people said good she is changing, what happens next he votes with brown.
If he is a lefty then I'm a Tory.
Will there be anyone from the BBC on the list , as there shoulds be.Paul Mason, James naughaty, Crick etc etc.
I can't decide what's more amazing about these lists -- the fact that union leader after union leader wasn't on them last year (Dave Prentis, Billy Hayes) or that you consider Sir Alan as left-wing.
