Yesterday Birmingham, Today Manchester

Yesterday I reported HERE that the 2008 Tory Conference will be in Birmingham. I'm told the Party has also signed a deal to go to Manchester for two conferences, one of them a Spring conference and one an autumn conference. A very good decision. Last year's Spring Conference there was excellent so I look forward to a return visit.

If Manchester builds a brothel it will make the casino an added attraction for conferences

If Broother Broon took his troops for a stroll to Canal Street, he could be the only Gordon in the Village!

What a great decision on Birmingham. How could the lapping waters of Bournemouth beach possibly hold a candle to the lapping waters of Gas Street basin.

After a couple of years of the new "Super-duper-mega-Casino" there won't be much left of Manchester, plus the Tories will have to pay the Goodfellas "rent" for being on their "turf". The police will "enforce" for the local "numbers games" and the once pleasant city centre will consist entirely of Atlantic-City style windswept brothel frontages, sleazy hangouts for homeless gamblers and derelict former churchmen and business people. Nights will be disturbed by the tinkling of automatic gunfire as the South African Kingpin fights it out with the Russian warlords and Sicilian gentleman. In short, a vision of Britain as Margaret Thatcher wanted it - finally achieved by her protege and lover A. C. L. Blair.

2007 Conference? I'm told. Otherwise LP would have booked 3-in-a-row. Mmm anonymous 12:12, like Manchester doesn't already have loads of brothels?
