Why I'm Proud to Donate to Labour - Except I Didn't

5 Live Drive have just interviewed someone called Simon Woodruffe from Yo Sushi who Labour featured in newspaper adverts today proclaiming WHY I'M PROUD TO BE A LABOUR PARTY DONOR, along with Eddie Izzard and Sir Alex Ferguson OBE. Unfortunately Mr W let slip that he had never given a brass farthing to Labour but to be fair he said he might do in the future. What a crass piece of PR. To be named in the same advert as Eddie Izzard, I mean.

I thought Izzard was a LibDem!

Iain just noticed on the London tonight news that there has been a major fire at a sensitive records management warehouse in East London, you don't think that there were any records there from ongoing high profile cases do you........

Simon has donated to a City Academy however, which is as good as donating to the Labour party anyway.

Gosh, you managed to get that inside story only 45mins after it was on the BBC news page.

Cutting edge stuff indeed.

Goodness. I just read this post and I hear the Drive presenter giving a very long introduction to someone and then I realise... it is Iain Dale.
Interesting interview - from Labour to Beirut in a flash. Iain, you mentioned a connexion you had with Beirut (you visited there after one of the prisoners was released?) could this form the basis of a post?
Look forward to tomorrow's blog re: Levy & the dark horse McDonnell

Yeh.....not sure what Izzard thinks he's doing for his career by participating on this one. Last time I saw him live he lost his charm...too much acting. I would think he'd keep his political affiliations to himself considering the nature of his musings.

Simon Woodruffe was one of the Dragons in the Dragons Den programme.
Sir Alex Ferguson is the Dragon in the Man Utd den!
It is obviously pass the buckets time for the Labour Party!

What a perfect example of a logical fallacy.

No 94: Argumentum ad verecundiam / Appeal To Authority

"New" Labour wouldn't deliberately employ a logical fallacy instead of trumpeting its "achievements". Would it?

Besides, by the looks of this Mr Izzard is a recruiting sergeant for UKIP.

am i the only one that find is amusing that half of the people have an honour after their names in this advert?

I've bought a Vodafone 3G Data Card

You must be the only one that did - Vodafone has been giving them away for ages just trying to find takers

So typical of New Labour Spin. They are so dizzy with it, and so shot to pieces with the thought of Inspector Plod with the handcuffs ready, that no-one thought to check if the Luvvies had actually donated to the Lord Cashpoint Labour Election fundraising account.
Are Eddie Izzard's dresses, Cherie's cast offs?, and do they allow guitars into Strangeways?

Hmmmm, maybe some of the designer dresses that Donna Karen New York gifted her with - and that she thoughtlessly forgot to declare when she landed in London. Or,like Elena Ceaucescu, just didn't feel she had to stoop to the level of the little people. Bedsides, it's so easy to forget £15,000 of gifts in one's luggage. Especially when everyone else is bunging your husband millions.

The question is will Eddie Izzard become a Lord, or a Lady?

I reckon Izzard's stock went below zero with his sycophantic private jet jaunt/interview with the Dear Leader. What a twa...... wally!

Why are people surprised at Eddie Izzard's presence. He's a cross dresser, isn't he?
