If you could have been present at any debate in the House of Commons over the last three hundred years, which would it have been , and why?

Eartha Kitt, George Harrison, Martin Luther King, Paul Merton, Harold Wilson, Emily Pankhurst

Iain - do you have a Hansard reference for this debate? Sounds fantastic....

Hazel Blears:

What job would you be doing if you weren’t involved in the political world?

Running a local authority.

Oh, Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Proof if it were needed that there *is* nothing there.

No avocation, no garden to cultivate, no hinterland, no nothing. Zippo. Hazel is the R2D2 of the political pantomime.

I guess Iain just felt there were superb responses, Andy ;)

Maybe he will ask you to write your replies too as you once wrote a superb blog about your Gumpesque trip across the US...

How come they're never happy just working on the tills at Tesco or Burger King? You'd think they'd be pleased to have a chance to mingle with the people for a change!
