Remember that History of the Middle East map thingy I pointed you too the other day? Well, HERE's something similar - a 5,000 year history of religion in 90 seconds.

Iain, loved and am grateful for the previous link to this wonderful site, but I would hope by now the 'net savvy amongst us would have worked out how to get the rest and save you the trouble of finding another map!
It's late. It's the Friday that any other year we would probably call "Christmas Eve" in the office and therefore I am suitably scoused, but...interesting as it was, I have this feeling that I am being really thick because I can't for the life of me work out what the message is.
The message is that things haven't changed; Over the centuries Islam alone has principally expanded by the use of the sword and is trying to do the same thing still.

Fascinating stuff :)
Yes, thank you, Iain! This was rivetting!
Interesting, though more than a little simplistic, and the Sikhs will doubtless be offended.
I thought New York was also a Jewish state!
and what about the Bahai, Zorathrustrans, Jains and other religions?

Thanks Iain for this - how I wish the world was that easy to understand!
Jock Coates - no message.
History. Don't get over-excited.
