It's late. It's the Friday that any other year we would probably call "Christmas Eve" in the office and therefore I am suitably scoused, but...interesting as it was, I have this feeling that I am being really thick because I can't for the life of me work out what the message is.

The message is that things haven't changed; Over the centuries Islam alone has principally expanded by the use of the sword and is trying to do the same thing still.
