Back in the Day

The great thing about the internet (and sometimes the not so great thing...) is that people from your past can track you down. One of my German teachers from UEA just sent me an email from Austria with a picture attached from the last few weeks of my time there in the summer of 1985. She thinks it was at a party at the house of our history professor, Richard Evans (yes, THAT Richard Evans).

I don't know who that handsome young man is on the left, but he could have been auditioning for Spandau Ballet. The less said about the tight jeans, the better :).

UPDATE: The others in the picture are Nick Williams, Gary McAllen (last heard of living in Bavaria) and Steve West. Anyone know where the other two are now?

I thought the one on the left was George Osborne!

Very Bullingdon without the uniformes.

Chameleon's college photo reputedly went for £500,000 to reduce his prospect of ridicule in the company of Johnson B I believe, or was it Osborne . . . ?

. . . so best you hide this away safelyagainst the time when you lead the 19th Tory Opposition is a row circa 20034 Iain . . .

I know a Nick Williams in the Norwich Labour party, could be a possibility.

Scarily tight jeans Iain...

Quietzapple: To achieve that feat, Iain would have to live another 18025 years - it seems unlikely.
