The Weigh In

Three months ago I started a sponsored diet. At the time I weighed 18 and a half stone. I wanted to lose two and a half stone by the end of November. Well, having just weighed myself, I have fallen a little short of the target, but have still lost a stone and a quarter - so, halfway to where I wanted to be. Perhaps I was being a little ambitious! I'm going to have another go after Christmas and get to as near 16 stone as possible.

Anyway, the sponsored diet has raised £5,000 for Help for Heroes, so thank you to all who sponsored me. It was a really good cause - in two senses!

If you didn't reach your target weight, shouldn't you refund the sponsorship money?

Oh, I see. It's all within the rules.

Well Done on the weight loss!

I actually thought you looked trim and much slimmer in the face on TV last night!

I have not seen you on the TV whilst I have been sober recently and so usually when i see you, you have two heads!!! Its funny the presenters have two heads as well and their are two TV sets as well!

The magic bit though is the weather girl as she has four legs and even better (Fill in the gap!!!) XXXXXXX.

Perhaps a trip to the Australian jungle would stop you eating so many pies?

Well done on losing 1 stone - but you have to do better than that. You're letting down your sponsors.

Maybe you're just big-boned :) Congratulations though, and great news for Help the Hereos. Remember to try to get to a manageable weight though. No point getting to 16 stone if you're natural habits take you back to 17.

Good luck after Christmas. The worst part is you'll probably be starting from 6 lbs heavier. All those Christmas chocs and turkey isn't good for the waist.

Maybe you could make up the £500 difference between the amount raised and your target as a form of penance.

Well done , trick is to keep it over Christmas

There isn't a difference to make up. I have received £650 in cheques to add to the total which is on the Just Giving gauge.

Trim, slim Dale eh? Keep dropping pounds like your team are dropping points and 2010 promises great things; a lithe ID in the Commons (with luck) and a lightweight Hammers in the championship (almost certain).

Too much time on the rubber chicken circuit.

PS - people should have a guess at how many labour MPs went to public school and then check out Dizzy Thinks.

You might also care to guess which school Labours biggest individual donor went to. 'Its a no brainer.'

You failed, therefore should find a way to refund the money! I'm gonna do a marathon. If I give up, should I still take people's money?

I thoroughly recommend leaving an open tin of tuna on the radiator for three days and then eating it.

Managed to shift almost a stone off my ex wife like that.
