Jack Straw dropping down seven places may soon look to be a bit wayward.

Busy in the background....

What criteria is this based upon?

@bill 1.19: If Hoon's at No18 it can't be personality, intellect, effectiveness, honesty or integrity, that's for sure! And this is to be Britain's next gravy-trainer in Brussels, FFS.

Andrew Rawnsley ? He's a journalist, and doesn't tell us how he votes, so I'm not really sure I understand this ?

"29. (NEW) ALASTAIR CAMPBELL
Former Government Director of Communications

While Alastair Campbell has no officially defined role, he regularly appears on the media defending Gordon Brown and the Labour government in times of turmoil. His role behind the scenes is unknown, but it’s rumoured that he is keen to step in and be seen as the savior of the Labour Party. There’s little doubt that the Labour communications team misses his talents. "

Dearie, dearie me - can't even spell 'saviour' ? Blame the Telegraph subbing again, eh ?!

Jackie Ashley reckons that John Cruddas will be the lefts' leading contender at the next leadership election.

Any thoughts?

God bless us and save us from perdition, damnation, frumpery and academic careerists who never got a government job from New Labour and now know they never will.

Oh my paws and whiskers.

This shower of t-----s are not let wing. There is not a single one of them who could not have served in a Tory cabinet with Supermac, Eden, Home or Heath.

Left wing means people like Derek Wall, Peter Tatchell and Caroline Lucas of the Greens, Arthur Scargill, the late Manny Shinwell, George Galloway, John Reese and Lindsey German of the SWP, Sean Matgamna, Karl Marx, Leon Trotsky, James Connolly, Wat Tyler, John Ball, Fredrick Engels, Gramsci, Kier Hardy, John Ruskin - thats what we mean by left.

The late Herr Hitler was further to the left that the 1top 10 of your "The Top 100 Left Wingers".

Sorry Ian your usually on the ball but not this time
