Campbell Storey for Wansbeck

Ian Lavery is the Labour PPC for Wansbeck. He is the "anti-police former President of the NUM" and seems to be on the more extreme left wing of the Labour Party judging by these quotes...

"We need a Labour government committed to our class - the working class - and to demonstrate that commitment by empowering workers in the workplace by allowing them to organise without fear of dismissal or victimisation and to take strike action on their own terms not those of the boss. Furthermore, it is a fundamental principle that one worker should be able to take sympathy action with another."

From the Morning Star
And

“Laws are often more wrong than right. Consequently, those who disobey them are more sinned against than sinners.”
TUC speech

Campbell Storey is the Conservative candidate in Wansbeck. He has rather a large majority of more than 10,500 to overcome, but with a bit of encouragement in the donation department, and you never know...!

My goodness, he sounds like an internet libertarian.

While I wish all tory candidates the best of luck (and that therefore means I support Farage not Mr Squeaker), this is just the sort of hard-left union dinosaur I won't be sorry to see dominate the PLP :)

Oxford educated. Tried to set up his own business agead 23. failed. full time policy wonk for 4 years.

Just the sort of chap CMD reckons will restore the faith of the electorate. No real experience of the real world.

People like him are the reason why genuine wealth/job creators and entrepreneurs do not care whether Labour or Tory win - we are just laving the UK.

For me it is 18 days to go and sod the lot of you.
