Happy Christmas to All My Readers
A very Happy Christmas to all my readers, and a big thank you to those who have stayed loyal during 2009 and to those who have discovered the blog for the first time over the past year.
I am spending Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day with my parents and sister and her family near Saffron Walden. No broadband, no internet. Thank God for Blackberries, eh? Joke.
I'll be back in a couple of days.

And a very Happy Christmas to you and yours, Iain.
Enjoy the break. Thank you for your perseverence - and the continuous interest, entertainment and amusement throughout the year.
And to mine too.
Well, speaking personally, it's been a bloody awful year in just about every respect. What has often made it tolerable is your unfailing enthusiam, commitment and apalling musical taste; I always await your next post with keen anticipation that I will be lifted and you seldom let me down. A very happy Christmas, Iain, the coming year will be a bugger...bring it on!
I wish you and yours a very happy Christmas too. Here's to next year!
and to you and yours iain, thanks for keeping me entertained and informed.

Merry Christmas Iain. Have a relaxing one.
Let's hope 2010 is better in all sorts of ways. I think it may just be... Merry Christmas to all.
Merry Xmas and best wishes for the coming year Iain.
The temptation to follow the herd and toe the party line must at times be overwhelming for those new minds in the new media, yet you and others stand out from the crowd and refuse to be tempted into touting the narrative.
Its never easy to speak the truth to power, sometimes it may feel as though speaking this truth to power may deprive you of advancement, thank heavens that people are starting to realise that climbing the dung heap has no real benefit in the end.
Good Morning, Iain, and a very Happy Christmas to you, and your family. Thank you for your information and entertainment over the last year. (and I always turn to your blog first, only later taking in G and JR!)
Merry Christmas Iain!
2010 looks to be an "interesting" year in prospect.
Let's hope Santa brings us an end to Labour.
Merry Christmas
And to you, Iain, and to you.
Merry Christmas to you and yours Iain.
And don't be posting until January, have a few days off!
Happy Xmas
Enjoy. I'm stuffed. Watch your weight!!!! Lips ... Hips and all that.
Merry Christmas, Iain

I just hope you have a very fulfilling New Year, and pray you do not become a tool of political parties, but remain your own man.
I also hope that there is a constituency seat ready waiting, and tailor made for a man of your huge capabilities and even mindedness , personal courage and strength and communication talents.
Most of all , I am very very glad that you are not an archetypal male Tory egoistical clot.
You will do nicely Iain.
PS- Your book is due out when?
Iain, happy Christmas, yes I know this is a few days later, but officially this is still the festival of Christmas, until Epiphany in January (and for all I know you might be a follower of the Orthodox Church, in which case Christmas is yet to come). Hope you, your partner and family are having a good one!
