Two Bloggers Needed...

I've had a couple of last minute drop outs from tomorrow's Blogger TV on 18 Doughty Street at 9pm. If any bloggers would like to take part (you'd need to be available from 8.45pm to 10pm) could you email me privately. You'll be on with James from Cicero's Songs and Tory MP Richard Spring. One of the subject we'll be discussing is why so few MPs blog. Ideally I'd like a Labour blogger and someone non-aligned, but as it's last minute I shan't be fussy!

On an unrelated subject, apologies that I haven't been replying to comments in the last 24 hours. Haven't had much laptop access (ooh er). I'll be going through some of the latest comments later this evening - there's a lot that needs replying to!

UPDATE: Thanks to all those who offered - In fact I've extended the sofa to three and we'll be seeing Mark Pack from LibDem Voice, Nick Palmer MP and Devil's Kitchen. The swear box is being prepared... Don't forget to tune in at 9! At 10pm there will be a 90 minute discussion on Getting Britain Moving with Chris Grayling MP, Paul Rowan MP and transport journalist Christian Wolmar.

Try asking the Home Office whether Numpty McNulty is still being allowed to appear on any form of media...

I think we know what the answer may be...

Croydonian will do it , he lusts after fame and would happily trample his near relatives in a rush for a second`s more time in the spotlight.

He wants it he needs it it is his precious

What time Iain?

Newmania, Just after Christmas there are probably many who would trample their near relatives just for the fun of it.

Would love to but in the wrong part of the country. How about Mr Hilton.

Off topic but too depressing not to share:
Plans to create 'superdatabase'
Press Association

A huge Whitehall 'superdatabase' of people's personal details could be created in a bid to improve public services.

Another successful sales pitch to our incompetent Ministers by EDS or KPMG. Solutions available through ticking boxes. Will they never learn.

Ask Cranmer. I'd love to hear if he speaks as eloquently as he writes.

Rachel's determination to obtain a proper enquiry into the obfuscation, disinformation , and threatening refusal to respond to wholly well-founded questioning about the horrors of the London bombings will always have my support. On that terrible July morning some of us who live in St Pancras were driven with grief and fear as we tried to contact those who had left the house; we all got home, but even just seeing was unbearable.

Yes Iain, I'd love to see the good Archbishop Cranmer.

Sadly, Cranmer insists on retaining his anonymity...

Why? because they are scared of having their "The Public backs us" line blown to hell. Look at what happens to the fragrant Margaret at the EU, and look at how the BBC responds when commentators don't agree with their precious agenda. Finally, (try and) look at the Hazel Blears blog poll - "Do you think everyone should carry ID cards?" - 84% against at the last count.

I would like to see Guido on 18DS.

However, this all hinges on the thing actually working!

HG-Aaah looks like I said the wrong thing , well I still think she is a pain the fundment and could do with less of her.

If I were an MP I wouldn't blog. Too risky. Better to do what Grant Shapps does and have a forum.

Yes I suspect the language will be a bit stronger than my shit the last time I was on/

Mark Pack hates Conservatives - just so that you know...

Iain, I would have loved to have volunteered to take part (even if I don't meet your criteria), but am travelling again. Hope to log in and watch from the Virgin Islands later on.

As to the issue, I think it is awkward for MPs to blog or at least to blog and say anything interesting beyond blowing their own trumpet. Although is that any different from their other methods of communication? And is it me, or has Ed Vaizey's blog become a lot less entertaining since he got promoted?
