Gordon is Browned Off

Poor old Gordon Brown. You gotta feel for him. He goes off to India with a huge press pack, and what happens when gets there? They all want to ask him about Tony Blair calling him 'psychologically flawed'. Oh dear, what have I started.

Gordo's going to India NOW?!

Doesn't he know who Shilpa is?

That guy must be psychologically flawed- or maybe he's just got a plain old death wish.

It's all right. Gordon will handle it in his usual relaxed, urbane and sophisticated manner.

Isn't it a shame Simon Bates doesn't do Our Tune these days?

His and TB's story would certainly be a contender!

And no doubt Nick Robinson will be asking him about the base rate hike while he is over there... no rest for the wicked...

Maybe somebody in the Indian press will ask him this question below, you can be sure as hell that he wonted be asked it by the "British" press.

"Mr Brown is it true that if or when you become Prime Minister you will have completely no say on 90% of affairs in your own country and even in your own constituency, yet will have 100% say over English matters yet no English person has ever voted for you and no English people can vote you out?"

It's Cherie, Cherie, Cherie!!!

Mr Price said, "Well, the only person with a better claim to know the Prime Minister's mind than Alastair Campbell is - possibly Cherie - is the Prime Minister himself,"

Price said it. He said "Cherie".

Andrew confirmed it when he said he promised to "tell all" when Tony (and Cherie) went. He can't be refering to anybody else because New Labour is in such dire straights Gordon might even ask Ali Campbell to stay.

Tony denied saying it - unless he was really sailing close to the wind and he "wrote" it. So the only person left in the frame is his lovely wife.

Let's face it she's already called him a liar ('Well, that's a lie.') so "psychologically flawed" just means he's a pathological liar...

... I'd just like add Gordons's a cowardly custard who runs away at the slightest problem.

Stuff the economy
what does Gordo think about Shilpa?

Anonymous said...

Well, in fairness with all the questions about CBB, he'll be able to avoid the question.

Iain, yes he runs off to hide so does not have to deal with the inflation hike, walks into the Big Brother scandal, and to round it off, there is your news!

Should teach him that when he becomes PM he wont be able to hide!

I thought they were mainly asking for his views on the Jade/Shilpa war in the Celebrity Big Brother household

Given all of the CBB stuff in the news, and Gordon in India stories, does anyone know if there were any government announcements today, especially coming from the direction of the Home Office, as it seems like another of Labours golden days to bury bad news.

Iain how could you?

Once or twice a week I check the South African Mail & Guardian site for news - what was on front page as lead story on International News "Blair denies calling Brown "Psychologically flawed"

The BBC news seemed to think he was asked mostly about Big Brother.
How ironic.

And, as if things weren't bad enough for Brown, now John McDonnell says he's "within striking distance of the chancellor", having presumably, obtained the 44 nominations from fellow Labour MP's signatures much of our press have been assiduously assuring us he didn't have a snowflake in hell's chance of receiving:

Simon Hoggart in the Grauniad:

"What a joy it was for the Tories that the prime minister had to stand up and deny in public that he had called his chancellor a loony, a fruitcake, wired to the moon, three annas short of rupee, makes Jade Goody look like Dame Mary Warnock, and so forth."

Over 1500 emails of complaint, how many of those were sent from foxhole Gordons Lybour mates, not many quetions on inflation or the union.
Just goes to show this mans real capabilities.

Good one Iain - keep up the good work!

Sehr geEhrter Iain

Warum, warum ??? Why is everyone getting excited by the suggestion that Senor Brown may be psychologically-flawed ??

Isn't it a self-evident truth about the Human Condition that all humans (at least the male part) are psychologically flawed

eg Pitt the Elder & Winston Churchill (our most effective war leaders) were hardly models of well-adjusted normality and thank goodness for that

I exclude Mrs Thatcher from the foregoing - Women are a InComprehensible Mystery to me !!!

Your obedient servant etc

At least we know why OFCOM is so weak and supine...

Ed Richards was appointed Ofcom Chief Executive in October 2006. He was previously Chief Operating Officer where his responsibilities included strategy, research, consumer policy, business planning, finance, human resources and Ofcom’s functions in the Nations and Regions.

Prior to Ofcom Ed was Senior Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister for Media, telecoms, internet and e-govt. Before that he was Controller of Corporate Strategy at the BBC. He also worked in consulting at London Economics Ltd, as an advisor to Gordon Brown MP and began his career as a researcher with Diverse Production Ltd, where he worked on programmes for Channel 4
