It's Entrepreneurs Who Create a Successful Economy - Not Gordon Brown
So Labour has launched its local election campaign with a show of unity between Tony & Gordon. I wonder why they refused to answer any questions fro, journalists. Have you EVER heard of a press conference without any questions?! The journalists present ought to refuse to write a single word about it. I really had to laugh when Blair introduced Brown. He said: "We have the best economic record of any country in the world and it's down to him". The first assertion is plainly idiotic, when our productivity is plummeting, but to say that economic success is ALL down to the Chancellor shows just how much Blair knows about how the economy works. I'm happy to pay tribute to Brown for making the Bank of England independent, but it is business entrepreneurs who create a vibrant economy, not politicians. Brown has done many many things to hinder business success, most particularly in encouraging new regulation. But as only four Labour MPs out of 370 have ever run a business, I do not find it surprising that they don't understand it.
