Shall endeavour to tune in. Have pimped it on my blog, which if all goes well may boost your audience by at least 1!

Win Amp fixed the problem for me.

My African Grey and I are listening to Play Country UK at the moment.

Uncle Bob, I feel your pain...

Iain - ditch that silly little bimbo from the radio show. She's an embarrassment.

Who the f**k is that airhead in the studio with Dale? She sounds like some cheap sex contact over a premium phoneline.

Dulcit tones can't compensate for stupidity.

WHO is the lady?!

She has the most beautiful voice i've ever heard! Would she marry me?

Sorry Iain, i missed the start of the show. Who IS the lady? Is she a blogger?

Iain's friend just read out my email, in full;

"David Amess claimed his full food expenses every month for four years, do you apologise for him? Do you, Do you?

The Tories are undemocratic as well, as your man, right now is saying. Go on, explain to him, consider which of THOSE are talented, come on.

Smash what television!

HA Mandy, what is this.

But erm, I can't deny, talented. He'd agree, what?

An outrage, Tories like Mandy.

Alan Sugar will be there for as long as people hate life.

What was your point with the namesakeing; Johnson, Portillo.

The blue Welsh are so optimistic.

Cardiff North? Rich bit.

Cardiff South; students, can they vote?

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

He didn't think George Osbourne's DVD was worth the taxpayer's money. That's going on the blog.

Good show tonight and Sarah and you make a good couple.

Managed to eventually open the programme using Winamp, 11 minutes in. Well worth the effort!

Perhaps there should be a nice fluffy, modern approach to the job of Speaker of the House. A four-way job share.

My ideal group of four would be: Daniel Kawczynski. He's tall, so would spot everything, even at the back of the House. Jacqui Smith. She has got a couple of good points, as I'm sure many would acknowledge. Next would be Denis Skinner. There's no good reason for this choice, but he'd be useful to cause periods of unbridled rioting in the House. True, that would not be good for democratic government, but it would make splendid TV. And finally Nadine Dorries to add a bit more glamour to the mix.

Glad you are feeling better.

Incidentally, Sarah did a very good job. Especially as it was her first live broadcast. Hopefully she will do more with you?

As for the people who wrote rude comments about her? Pah! A Dollybot on repeat.

yes, I have to say Sarah was a joy to listen to, she emulated the Essex accent 'dan 2 a tee"

Philipa: You won't miss anything if you tune in today because the show went out last night. Do try and keep up at the back there!

listened again. Please can you sort your levels out. Your lady assistant was too loud or you were too quiet.
Shame about elvis..hope he knows what he's doing. even burger bar jobs are hard to come bu now.

On R4 , re council tax, keep saying "The vast majority of MPs are honest"

Is there any MP who claimed LESS for their council tax than the required amount. That would show genuine error rather than outright fraud. Is there even one?

Philipa said...

I really must get some glasses. I'll be apologising to walls soon.

I agree with Bill Quango, you really need to sort out the mike volumes, I got tired of modulating my speaker volume turning up to hear you and turning down so Sarah, through no fault of her own, didn't rupture an ear drum. I also think that Sarah was a nice addition.

Iain Dale said...

The mic issue is received and understood. Sarah did very well and I will definitely invite her back.

Will there be a podcast available? There usually is one out by now!!!
