A Prime Ministerial Broadcast by Tom Harris

Needless to say I deprecate the core message of this video, but it is very funny and you need to read between the lines, especially towards the end. I particularly like the appearance right at the end by Tom's long suffering wife, Carolyn.

You're right Iain - it's very funny and has a likeability that has been so badly missing from the Labour campaign. I do remember how I felt in 1979 and it was nothing like as depicted in this video! I felt encouraged and hopeful that at last we could begin to clean up the mess left by a Labour Government that had bankrupted the country. I'm looking forward to feeling the same way tomorrow.

If only Tom had been leader of the Labour party. At least he has a sense of humour...

The guy's got style - a lot of the "humour" chucked out by our "politicians" is as depressing as it is unfunny.

Nice to know he's got talent.

Its a shame it isn't recognizing the spectacular damage Gordon Brown has done to the country,

Very funny. Disagree with his politics but he's one Labour PPC that I won't be mad at when he's re-elected.

Top quality! Tom Harris - you are high up in the pantheon of Labour Good Guys and Girls alongside Frank Field, Kate Hoey and Bob Double-Barrel Marshall Andrews. Well played...

The video is a decent one, reflects the man.

John Smith was a decent man too - Labour lost such a lot when he died.

Very enjoyable, and yes I remember what I felt like in 1979 as a trainee chartered accountant living in a squalid flat in Catford...complete elation.
