Quote of the Day: Post Coital Edition
"Bloggers don't write, they ejaculate." Iain MacWhiter, The Herald
Only because there's no other thread to bung this:
I feel I have to observe that Lana Clarkson's is the second murder of which Phil Spector is guilty. The first was Leonard Cohen's "Death of a Ladies' Man" album, which was destroyed utterly by Wiggy Fruitcake's accursed, soulless, mind-numbing barrage of the Wall of Sound.
It's a bit like having your own beloved Abba reinterpreted by Metallica and played by a thousand stoned comb-and-paper players. I don't care whether or not Abba liked Spector; 'pace' your apparently semi-exonerating tweet last night, Iain.
To bring this rant back on-topic, Spector's completely dysfunctional and as mad as a box of frogs [like Brown], has an extensive history of cowardly intimidation towards both men and women [like Brown] using stooges [like Brown], has been indulged his entire life by sycophants [like Brown] and thoroughly deserves every day of incarceration to which the judge eventually sentences him [like ... well, one can still dream!].
For me, this has been justice deferred, but eventually dispensed, in much the same way as has been Master McBride's recent humiliation.
What a happy Easter this has been. Truly, God does not pay debts with money.
Also castigated by "J Arthur MacNumpty" on his blog. Good response to MacWhirter, whom I've admired in the past as an independently-minded journalist(as opposed to some I could name). Perhaps he was having an off day....
Being in Glasgow I have writen a letter to the Herald saying in part:
"Perhaps he would be better employed reporting on such things as the public admission, over a year ago, by Carla del Ponte the Yugoslav War crimes prosecutor that she has known for years that our NATO police (as the KLA became when we occupied the place) had been dissecting hundreds, perhaps thousands, of living Serbs to sell their body organs. Perhaps he should report on the faking of newspaper photographs in reporting of the Tibetan riots, the Georgian war & of course, any war involving Israel. Perhaps he should report that, contrary to well publicised assertions by the "green" lobby that 99.9% of scientists support the global warming claim, the largest single collection of scientists' opinions is the 31,000 who signed the Oregon Petition, not only saying it is no problem but that increased CO2 is beneficial. Perhaps he should report that so many of the charities, whose press releases, calling for ever more government regulation & spending, & form a staple in much of the mainstream media & who buy stands at party conventions, are often largely funded by government money."
If the press are as open as bloggers it will be published - don't hold your breath.

So bearing in mind that you post on average about 6-7 times a day, this means that....
Bloggo Ergo Sum.
I can multi-task, oh gosh, not again
That is a great headline, great article in the Specky
Explains why my keyboard is so sticky.
Pssst ... he wrote his pish in The Herald.
For those of a sensitive disposition a fairly well-known 'vile' (according to both Left and Right) blogger timestamps his postings thusly:
"Ejaculated by Old Holborn at..."
According to this theme, the implied status of commenters on his blog is also delicately handled.
Hah, some of us are beyond such silliness!?

Dog eats dog
Wasn't going to leave a comment but I noticed the word verification is 'cumm'...

is it necessary to hire a porno film first to 'get in the mood'?

At the risk of lowering the tone completely, I have to say I disagree with the quote of the day.
I fail to see why a talented blogger cannot do both. Only the really talented can do both at the same time :-)
