I really like Ed Vaizey - but he is away with the fairies?! He cracks me up.

I did see Gordon on Marr, and like Iain Martin was not impressed. But we should not be lulled into any sense of false security. Gordon is relaunching himself backed by a massive spin operation. Just listen to the Today programme this morning and Edward Stourton's cap doffing interview. As usual Brown is fixated on the right wing press and has bagged a glowing headline in the Mail this morning. The odd thing is no-one is holding him to account for his self proclaimed image of a man who takes the "tough" decisions for the "long-term". Actually he refers everything to inquiries and evades "tough" decisions for as long as he can. And his long term thinking goes just about as far as tomorrow's headlines. But I fear Gordon is poised to fool the people with this posing, supported as he is by his army of media protectors. Watch the polls turn - I predict there are tough times ahead for Cameron.

I'm attracted to Guido's idea of kicking him when he's down. Apart from the facts that he's an old style lying, controlling communist, he has got to be the most physically repulsive head of government in the world. Is there anyone uglier, or with more tics and grimaces?
