The Daley Dozen: Monday

1. Ellee Seymour reckons Botox should be regulated by the government.
2. Open House wonders why Gordon Brown wanted to keep a trip to the National Theatre quiet. Doubt whether he'd have wanted to keep a trip to a footy game so quiet.
3. Dave Hill on blogging the Qu'ran. Or is it Koran?
4. Quaequam is rather impressed by the LibDem B Team.
5. If you use Big Macs as currency, the UK has not overtaken the USA in purchasing power says Cicero's Songs. Donal Blaney is on the case too.
6. Richard Spring MP reports from Egypt, where Blair & Sarkozy were on their hols too.
7. Nick Robinson reckons Gordon Brown is not enjoying being PM. We're not enjoying his being PM either.
8. Bob Piper on a lying LibDem.
9. EU Referendum on cutting the number of EU diplomats and redeploying them to curb Islamo-fascist Middle East terrorism.
10. Toby Harnden has the latest from New Hampshire, including a blow by blow account of the destruction of Mitt Romney.
11. Peter Horrocks on the value of citizen journalism.
12. Cassilis asks what's on Gordon's fridge?

"3. Dave Hill on blogging the Qu'ran. Or is it Koran?"

Either will do. The word is transliterated, so any phonetic translation is acceptable.

Does that mean, anon, that the old "Moslem" does as well as the new "Muslim"?

I bet you wish your last name started with a T so you only had to do 3 of these.

The piece about the National Theatre is interesting. It's a shame the PM wants to hush-up a visit there; it's one of the most open and egalitarian places in Britain. A mixture of classic and modern productions, in a modernist public space, part-subsidised by the private sector.

One of the few things with a genuine New Labour ethos which actually works.

Though wasn't it where Blair went to celebrate the 1997 election victory? Ah, that might explain things...
