Der Sommer ist Vorbei

As I got off the train this morning it was pouring with rain. Rather appropriately the song playing on my iPod was a German one called 'Der Sommer ist vorbei'. Translation: Summer's over! Ah well, maybe Jim Naughtie will brighten my day.

Indeed, the draught in London is quite a disaster lately.

I am waiting for the umbrella ban to appear.

Well done. Good spot this morning. I thought the other guy had a good idea with the porpoise; it could prove more popular than the chamelion. The important point though is to be damn sure not to let us open to ridicule. An obvious example would be:"the Tories are not fit for porpoise."

I see Hugo Rifkind has published Beau Bo D'or's Tory logo in The Times this morning without mentioning him or you. He's been badly brought up. I wonder what his dad does for a living.
