Question Time Tonight: I Feel a Live Blog Coming On

The panel on Question Time tonight. Michael Heseltine, Hazel (my little chipmunk) Blears, Piers Morgan and Ming Campbell (assuming he can find his way to the studio...). I'll be live blogging it I think!

UPDATE 9pm: Actually, I won't. I'm afraid I have just had to drive over to West Malling to pick up my FA Cup Final ticket, so I've lost an hour's proof-reading time - and I also have to write an article for the Sunday Times before 11.30am tomorrow, so the live blogging will have to go. There's one thing for certain, I'm not going to delay my trip to Cardiff tomorrow!

Good question. But to be honest, after a day of proof reading the Little Red Book, it's a welcome distraction...!

Instead of feeling sorry for us not on the A list we can feel sorry for those in a worse position..... namely the leader of the Lid Dems.

That will cheer me up.

Good show Iain, your live blog is a great antidote to BBC bias.

Any chance of resuming the live PMQ blog?

Hezza! Outrageous that there is no Conservative on the panel!

Anonymous - Piers Morgan is a Conservative, even if Hezza isn't.

This looks like a great line-up.

I'm sure you'd enjoy "Essex Boys" on ITV4 a lot more.....

That is the best line up they've had this year.

Sparks will fly. Anyone know the age difference between Hezza and Ming?

Erm, can't wait to read your brilliant unbiased commentary....

BTW - is it true you came up with Bill Rodgers's autobiog title? Good work if you did..

Ranting - Tim Montgomerie usally does this now. I am not always around to do it.

Hughes - is that some sort of soft porn show?!

Anonymous - yes it's true - Fourth Among Equals. he took a bit of persuading but I managed to get him there in the end. A bloody good book too.

Is it a sign of desperation for Ming to be appearing on a regular edition of QT? Party leaders don't normally apear on except on their own, maybe he needs a profile boost.

Nothing soft about you Essex boys is there Iain?!

Piers Morgan a Tory?!

With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Drink strong coffee while Ming is speaking or you'll fall asleep!

Poor Hazel. This is going to be a long night for her.

Do the EUBC bus around this same audience of hand picked lefties every week?

I gave up watching Question Time years ago - easily the most obviously left wing hand-picked audience anywhere on television.

Ross F - from recollection both Ashdown and Kennedy appeared on regular PMQs. The more concerning point for Lib Dems is that their leader is trying to convince everyone that he's a man for the 21st century when he's on a current affairs panel with a man who first entered the Cabinet in the 1970s.

Everyone - live blogs were written by both Mars Hill and myself, offering Labour and Conservative supporters' takes respectively.

Hazel Blears has the kind of voice that you could use to open a tin

Shocker last night though - there was a young female Conservative in the audience. Don't know how she slipped through the net!

Get her on the A-List!

A young female Conservative, eh? Someone should ask her if she wants to be on the A-List.
