More Labour & Trade Union Sleaze

Some time ago New Labour rewarded its Trade Union paymasters comrades with £10 million of your public money to subsidise their various activies and to enable them to 'modernise' - a word most of their leaders can barely spell. I am delighted to tell you that the TUC is setting up a new organisation to "support and lead" trade union learning. This is, the TUC seems proud to admit, already the fastest growing union activity. Their website shrills: "With substantial public funds already promised, the new body will take union learning to a new level." And they are looking for an Organising Officer for UnionLearn on a salary of £38,000 and a Development Officer on £34,000 based in Liverpool and a Regional Education Officer on £34,000 based in Newcastle. I wonder if the same public funds have been made available to the CBI - an organisation in need of modernisation if ever there was one. Nice to know that having donated millions of pounds to Labour, they're now getting it back courtesy of the poor bloody taxpayer, isn't it? Sleaze at its worst. Expect to read about it in the Little Red Book!

And how much money does business get as subsidies from government? More than £10m, I'd wager?

This is why you Tories will never get back into power - you easily jump on (often low-paid) people just trying to make a better living for themselves.
