Jeremy Paxman to Present News at Ten?
An absolutely brilliantly incisive article by Bryan Appleyard in yesterday's Sunday Times Culture Section. This was the headline: BRITISH TELEVISION NEWS IS DULL AND LACKS SUBSTANCE. IN AMERICA ANCHORS HAVE AUTHORITY AND ZEST. WHY WON'T THE BBC JOIN THE WINNING SIDE? He suggests Jeremy Paxman should take over the Ten O'Clock News. It really is worth reading in full. Click HERE.

"BRITISH TELEVISION NEWS IS DULL AND LACKS SUBSTANCE..." and is biased as hell.
Well at least ITV News is well known for being biased, unlike Newsnight: http://www.liberalreview.com/blogs/apollo/vote_blue_go_green_is_luntz_on_c
Yes, just what we need. Paxman, Marr and Wark together with the Today team controlling the 6 and 10 news shows.
...not forgetting Marr's marriage to Jackie Ashley (she of the NewStatesman and The Guardian) and Wark's close relationship with the former First Minister of Scotland. Still, I'm sure they're both consumate professionals and would never dream ect ect ect
