So who's had a good week? Are their fortunes on the up or on the wane? My Conventional Wisdom Index seeks to track the fortunes of the major players in British politics. Next installment next weekend. Maybe by then we'll be able to use an upward narrow for a change...

Ming Campbell ↓
Emerged from 3 week silence to call Tories 'unpleasantly right wing'. So much for the end of punch and judy.
Gordon Brown ↔
Fashion faux pas on African trip. Gives impression of wanting to give more money towards African education than our own
Labour Party ↓
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Who'd be a Labour local election candidate?
Conservative Party ↔
A week away from the headlines
Liberal Democrats ↔
A fourth week away from the headlines. But more importantly have avoided becoming involved in honours scandal
George Bush ↓

A Happy & Blessed Easter to you!
David Cameron - for a man who was so heavily involved in the drawing up of the Conservative 2005 election manifesto he has so far not actually come up with any substantial policies. So far I think he has just mentionned the environment a few times.
