ANOTHER EXCLUSIVE:What Did the New Labour General Secretary Know?
Following on from the story below, Nick Bowes's line manager, who was responsible for liaising *directly* with the Electoral Commission during the election campaign, was the Party's then Director of Finance & Legal Compliance. His name? Peter Watt. His current job? Matt Carter's replacement as General Secretary of the Labour Party. So did he, or did he now know about the loans? Surely, as Compliance Officer he must have done - but if he didn't, shouldn't he be considering his position? I am sure Inspector Yates will be asking those questions very soon indeed. The thumbnail picture is of Peter Watt (left) and Matt Carter (right). I found this through a Google picture search. Interestingly the large version of this picture was originally used on THIS page on the Labour Party Website. Strangely, Matt Carter has recently been cropped from the picture. Is he becoming a "non person"?
