It's days like these when Blogs like his come into their own. The BBC and Sky reported that Scotland Yard are investigating the Labour Party a mere 5 hours after Guido broke the news on his blog.

And some people think bloging aint journalism...
The tragedy is that they are increasingly the same. Lazy, pig ignorant hacks regurgitating the ill-informed clap-trap appearing on other people's blogs as a cheap substitute for any attempt at investigative journalism. Unbelievably poor.
Anyone with half a brain cell knows that police respond to any complaint by saying that they take it seriously and are looking into it. They never say they can't be bothered and have chucked away the letter of complaint. Are the police really looking into it though? That's the question a proper journalist would look at. But can they be bothered? Of course not - they would rather steal a few lines from some saddo's blog and spend the rest of the afternoon browsing the web for porn.
