Labour Finance Scandal Breaks

I have just been listening to Jack Dromey, the Labour Party Treasurer, on 5 Live. He sounded like a broken man, as well he might. Imagine you are Finance Director of a company and you find out that your chief exec has taken out huge loans without your knowledge. You have two choices. You either resign or you set out to get the bastard. Jack Dromey (who doubles as Mr Harriet Harman) has chosen the latter course of action. It's not just the procuring of the loans that raises questions. It's what then happened to the money, because Mr Dromey seems to have no idea. After all, he is only legally responsible for all Labour Party income and expenditure! So who solicited the loans? I wonder how hot Lord Levy's telephone will be tonight...

I think you'll find the money was used to pay off a mortgage for the culture secretary.

err, no, he's not.

Maybe you should be blogging on how Cameron fucked it over the programme vote.

This just supports my continued claim that these New Labour loonies are morally bankrupt see More Labour Sleaze if not already wallowing in the pit of corruption!

I hope as you say Iain Dromey succeeds in 'getting the bastard'.This sort of stuff damages politics in general and is bad for democracy.
It's a great pity that the Conservative and Lib Dems have been utterly impotent on this issue.Probably too many skeletons in their cupboards too.

they're bent, far more bent than anything that happened under major and that's not to excuse what went on back then but it was nowhere near on this scale.I would love to see some of bliars comments 'in the time of sleaze'.
