So, Stephen Byers is standing down from Parliament.

In other news today, a leaf fell from a tree.

Labour are spoiling the election for me. I was hoping for Portillo moments en masse. Instead, they chicken out of the fight and my all-night tv watching enjoyment suffers.

He also stole £125,000 in second home expenses that he claimed for a house which he didn't even own. But like Jacqui Thief, he gets to keep it.
