My advice as a former future member is carry on,even if you feel your views don't shadow the party 100% at this time.
People will spot your talents and views and make the leadership aware of your presence -you could be part of the future and it may permeat policy in the long run.
Some will doubt but that is what politics is about! It is about changing views and perspectives in the long run!
Be a member and you will always find alies for your views - that is how democracy works! Any problems and folk like me or even Iain? will seek to make it known! Plus resolved!
have to take issue with you ID (im hoping it catches on in a JP sort of way) over the election date. 2010 it may be but not June. May 6 2010 is the date of next mass local elections. It would be ridicilous not to mention counter productive to not have GE on that date as well.
