Not a Single Mention of Gordon Brown @ Labour Conference

Are they embarrassed or something? It really does reveal an awful lot when Progress holds a one day conference on Labour's online strategy and Gordon Brown is the phrase which dare not speak its name.

David Singleton is political correspondent of PR Week.

Not good, is it?

Yep, the all-pervasive fear of Gord.

It's the stuff which is discussed in the quiet corners of the bars which is more interesting.

Has anybody mentioned that other phrase that dare not speak its name - "England"?

That's Progress for you!

This was NOT a Labour Conference now was it Iain? Not really.

Myself and John Harris played a little game at the Progress Rally at the real conference in Mcr.

Only three of the blighters on the platform mentioned GB - even though their game was up - one of those through clenched teeth.

The two who did name check the leader (without side) were Andy Burnham and Ed Miliband. The other ten or so failed. With Caroline Flint the one who semi-spat the name out.

There's Progress for you. It's a clique. And they're not Brownies. Is all.
