Do something for me today. Vote. You know you want to. Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on.
And for those that have forgotten, polling stations open at 7am and close at 10pm. There's no excuse. Vote.

VOTE LABOUR
On such occasions I'm always astonished that in this country it is still possible to vote without any id what-so-ever - just a name (usually one's own) and matching address that you know is on the electoral role.
I'm always tempted to vote early and often for people that I know, such as my dad. (In the cause of Dadaism rather than any political motive). However, hanging around the polling station just to see their reaction would tend to give the game away.
Anyone know the penalty for such fraud? - and without the need for even a signature when one votes how would it could be proven in court?
Of the councils that currently run a fortnightly rubbish collection, a staggering 71% are under tory control. FACT!
Alright then Ian.....just to please you....I voted.................................................................................................................................................................................UKIP.
UKIP!
All set to cast my vote, and luckily for me no tactically voting dilemma's!
It is TORY TORY TORY TORY right across the ballot, and that is in Scotland!
The Scottish tory bloggers are busy doing their bit, well done. And before anyone starts sniggering, there are plenty SNP and quite a few tory ones, but Labour or Libdems are very scarce or maybe they are just to boring that no one visits as we get enough hot air from them to keep Scotland warm all winter.
have you seen this?

"VOTE LABOUR" anon 1:09
Nah, don't bother. Those nice people from Labour have probably done it for you already.
Blimey! Sego looks rough without her makeup on.
Iain, I did as you command.
It would have been thoughtful of you to suggest I put some clothes on first, though !
I THINK I convinced the lady returning officer that it was all Gordon's fault.
Alan Douglas
I'm in London, Iain, and have no election today. Is that a good enough excuse?

Hello Chad.
Heh, good old Mrs Doyle - her humorous countenance has convinced me to vote...
Actually, I was going to vote anyway - in my utopia, voting would be compulsory, with a "None of the above" option, but enough of my manifesto ;-)
Voted and done....
Is this a modern version of the old Northern Irish election day slogan,
"vote early, vote often"?
[2br02b]
Done and dusted. Delighted to tell you that I kicked Blair's a*se!
Auntie Flo'
Hello Chad.
LoL. I guess you are at a bit of a loose end since I stopped the blog.
I hear that Chris Mounsey is looking for a stalker. ;-)
VOTE LABOUR
No need, the postal votes are already in.
Vote Conservative to counteract said corruption of our democracy and the general sleaze and national malaise that 10 years of our "representatives" saying what they think we want to hear has produced.
Cup of tea Father? Brilliant if Mrs Doyle cant get any one to vote then there is no one.
Went early(ish). Only the lib/lab/cons on the ballot so put a big Z through the lot of them.
Seeing as lefties tend to be less likely to vote than Tory voters maybe you shouldn't be encouraging them?
I wonder what would happen if everyone in a corrupted ward did actually turn out to vote. Would there be more than 100% turnout?
I miss you loverboy.
Life just isn't worth living without your scribblings..
Go on. Feed me some MEAT. Feed me some real Chad!!
(oh, I'm all excited..)
As of 7.01am, I can guarantee that the voting at my local station was 100% Conservative.
Don't be daft, anon at 1.09am - Labour are so last century........
We've all "moved on" from there.
Labour are so last century........
1000 days to prepare for 1000 years?
1000 years of social democracy?
1000 years of CCTV and ID cards?
Iain
Not only did I vote I dragged my mum along with me. Thats two votes for the good guys. Coggeshall and North Feering will not be electing any NuLab rubbish.
"I miss you loverboy.
You're the ukrainian hooker? I thought you'd been banged up for cocaine possession?
I don't shock easily, but voting today has managed it. In my bit of the green and pleasant land I was given the option of voting for either a Conservative or an English Democrat. No Lib Dem no Labour no BNP no Monster Raving Loony.
The self-appointed great and good will be moaning about low turnout again, but when your democratic options have been removed, why bother? Shame on you Labour and Lib Dems and shame on you Conservatives in urban council wards for which you didn't field a candidate.
Naturally I voted for the ED candidate and really hope he wins. At least he bothered to do some campaigning, which is more than can be said for his Tory opponent.
Labour is going to get another landslide. As I write, coachloads of happy Labour supporters are arriving to cast their votes, and in some cases, more than one vote. That's how much they adore Labour. In fact, David Cameron himself is encouraging you Tories to vote Labour. They are singing "The Red Flag" in Millbank
I'm not sure that scarf suits you, Iain?
To be fair. All of us people sad enough to read/write political blogs are probably the last people we need to be ebcouraging to vote!

No. I'm the Latvian bloke you met online and went for a drink at Stringfellows with.
Don't you remember?
(I'll never forget it.. x)
Did what I have done since I last time I voted ,which was for thatchers first years ,up to polling station usual suspects ,Lib, Lab,Con,Green,no BNP shame , came back home ,I am one of the lazy b's who don't vote ,why bother.
LoL. It must be the long hair, I would swear you were female...
I don't think Mr Griffin would approve of your nocturnal activities!
Why have the posts dried up on ukipmoan?
Why can't we vote on Sundays, like the French. Look at their turnouts.
I voted for the English Dumbocrats.
Ho, ho, ho!! What a joker I am!
:-)
As the Liberal party is the only one that promises to do away with the Council tax, they can have My Vote this Time.
Just wish that Bland No policy Chap leading the Concervatives would re-instate the Poll Tax. There has never been a fairer system than that, totally trashed by protestors who had never paid a Local Tax in their Lives.
Both NuLabour and the Conservatives seem to have no Idea how much the Council Tax is Hated by the Public.
I had a go at you many months ago about putting something up to get people to vote , but you must have thought it was a bad idea ,why try to plug it now when it's too late.
*OUR* nocturnal activities.. mr. rumpy xx
"Why have the posts dried up on ukipmoan? "
Dunno. Didn't you shut it down?
(Ps. I've got my hair in a ponytail now)
;-)
I agree with Anti-Frank, as a Londoner I am feeling deprived. We really would do anything to oblige you, Iain, but moving out of London is asking too much. However, if anyone knows of any dead voters registered at a polling station near a Surrey or Kent railway station...
Is London in fact the only place (apart from NI) not voting today? I keep wondering whether those "share of the vote" figures are distorted but if it's only London not voting, then Tory and Labour more or less cancel out.
Thought it was only fair that I "come out" ;-)
Seeing as the train I use so rarely gets to the destination on time, I think I'll be disenfranchised by Southern Railways.
If only there were a King's horse to throw myself under.
I'll have to settle for the Kings Head instead.
11:48/11:49 Er, that is NOT me!
Thanks vulva. You have ruined my fun :-(
Well thanks for a great night anyway!
Sorry for making you wear that stuff, I've always wanted to recreate Bitter Moon :-)
I tried to vote for you, but you weren't on the list. So I voted for the people who'd had stuff delivered to me, and lived in my constituency. The tories were excluded on both counts.
"Coggeshall and North Feering will not be electing any NuLab rubbish."
You could put a dead donkey up for election in that neck of the woods and it would win with a blue rosette on it!
There is only one Labour candidate in the whole of the North Kesteven District Council area. I know three people who are not going to vote because there is no Labour candidate to vote against. Oh, what it is to be popular...
I voted for myself and my son, my neighbours (all 3 of them) and the milkman and his wife - at two different polling stations. I shall be back later with two former flatmates poll cards - when the staff have changed at 5.30 PM.
I wonder if anyone else has been as enthusiastic as me?
We had 2 elections here, and the Tories only stood in one of them. So I was faced with the choice of voting Labour (who would probably run the local council better than teh barmy Lib Dems) or vote Lib Dem.
I just couldn't bring myself to do it, I voted for 5 Lib Dems.
I've got a good excuse - my constituency is uncontested!
Vote cast.
Pointless voting Tory in this area, no chance it was going to be for Labour!
>Anyone know the penalty for such fraud? - and without the need for even a signature when one votes how would it could be proven in court?
Plonker.
Even worse than the muppet inviting people to 'vote labour'.
I was going to vote UKIP but the local candidate is called France so decided not to.
Anyhoo, with the Jocks unable to run a piss up in a brewery, sorry an election, is it any wonder they are managing to fcuk up running England.
