Dizzy, meanwhile, casts doubt on Mr Benn's levels of support on the benches. Personally, I think he's barking in the wind.
For your information, and delectation, here are the other deputy leadership campaign blogs.
Harriet Harman (last entry March 18th!)
Alan Johnson (last entry March 29th)
Jon Cruddas (a proper blog)
Peter Hain (last entry March 27th)
Hazel Blears (only one entry, April 5th)
Jon Cruddas is the only candidate who seems to actually get what blogging is about. The others had better learn quickly. Hilary Benn doesn't even have a blog on his brand spanking new website. Alex Hilton is the King of Labour bloggers (well, Prince Regent, maybe) so you;d have thought a blog would be the first addition to the website. Why not, Alex?

wd be great if true abt recess monkey, the odd boy that he is, and not much good as a blogger either. but on this occasion i think you are not actually on the money...
dig around some more?
If so it is foolish. Political fences are more easily broken than mended so to make enemies of everybody purely to obtain a non-job like deputy leader, whose only importance is a stepping stone, is unwise.
Will Hain be at Welsh Labour's disco bash tonight?
"Backing Ben" as in ...
... this website is "Backing Ben" into a corner.
To be honest, I think that if politicians take up blogging they'll all be rubbish at it. It's not as if they'll post anything online that they wouldn't say on the stumps or in interviews. It'll all be sanitised and uninteresting pish.
Iain, do we really want our politicians spending their time blogging their opinions ratehr than doing what they are paid to, and representing their constituents, preparing for, and participating in debate, and generally being politicians. you may have hours a day to idle away on a blog. hopefully our politicians dont.
s made half a dozen posts in 11 days or so.............
obvioulsy more to do than scratch his arse to think of ways to bitch about the tories.
