Three years ago I interviewed Edwina Currie for 30 minutes on my Oneword programme about her diaries. I thought it was worth airing again as a Podcast, so here it is. As the late Alan Clarke said to her when she was lurking in a corner on the night she stabbed Thatcher in the back... "Didn't you use to be Edwina Currie?"
I always thought Edwina had a certain je ne sais quoi....
Very interesting, I enjoyed that.
I met John Major a few times, he was my MP. In person he is nothing like the image portrayed in the media. He is remarkably tactile and very attractive to women, largely because you can tell he really likes women and that is quite rare believe me. I was surprised about the affair but thinking about it now they are both rather sensual people, still think she should have kept her mouth shut though as Norma is also extremely nice and natural, still see her in the supermarket sometimes.
