Gordon Brown to be New Home Secretary?

A couple of people have mentioned the possibility of Tony Blair moving Gordon Brown to the Home Office.

Bebopper says: "Brown is supposed to be the organisational genius. Should he not be the man to do mission impossible? Blair should tell him: "Gordon, you're in a comfort zone. Nine years in one job is no good for a rounded experience of government and no good for people like Reid or Darling who might like crack at it."At a less-exalted level, any primary school head will move staff around from time to time to increase their knowledge of year groups and areas of responsibility. Promotion to senior management would be unlikely without the range of experience."

What would Gordon say? I suspect the second word would be 'off'.

Gordons ideal job would be working for NASA, i mean he is an expert on 'Black Holes'.

I suspect you're right - something like "You're off now, mate. Wipe your feet when you leave and don't slam the door."
