EXCLUSIVE: Stephen Byers to Rejoin Cabinet

Now you know I mentioned below about the reshuffle being used to 'bury bad news'? Well guess who's tipped to be the new Secretary of State for Culture Media & Sport. Step forward one Mr Stephen Byers. Am I living in a surreal world?

Surely it's time to see Shaun Woodward in the cabinet?

he's done more time in the wilderness than Blunkett or Mandy.

Christ at this rate we'll have Peter Mandleson back as Home Secretary and Blunkent back as Deputy PM (goose stepping all the way to the ODPM!)...

If so, does that mean Tessa 'I'd jump under a bus for Tony' Jowell is going to spend more time with her money, or is going on to greater things?

You could believe anything from this shower. Very interesting to see who he will let go, as historically he hasn't had the balls to sack ministers. There are a lot on the sick list this time - Clarke, Prescott, Jowell, Hain, Hewitt, Kelly, the idiot Falconer (for all he's got away with in the past). Also, what will happen if anyone were to get their collars felt in the next month or so. What price another re-shuffle before November?

Yeah Shaun Woodward can finally collect his 30 pieces of Silver, if he gets a ministerial position from Blair.

The Stephen Byers story just doesn't surprise me anymore, this government is a shambolic mess!!!!!

To be honest I'm surprised Byers hasn't returned before now. What odds on him resigning before the end of the year?

The Dear Leader's problem is that despite a large majority, he has very few ministerial candidates who are both loyal to "The Cause" and competent.

And since The Great Helmsman values loyalty over competency we have had and will continue to have a succession of fuckwits running government departments, to the detriment of the country until the Idiot in Chief finally decides to quit.
