Conservatives Pledge to Reverse ID Card Act
I see the Libdems (who have been virtually invisible for three weeks) are trying to make out that the Conservatives have backed off their opposition to ID Cards. Typical mischief making from the yellow peril. So I was glad to hear David Cameron say in the clearest terms today: "Labour's plastic poll tax has no place in modern Britain. It's an ugly monument to the waste, chaos and vanity of intrusive, over-mighty government. I promise you this….in office, we will pull it down." This repeats David Davis's firm commitment on the floor of the House of Commons recently.
