And in Breaking News from the Middle East...

You do have to wonder at news values sometimes. Today's Daily Telegraph carries THIS story about David Cameron's visit to Israel. The first two thirds of it revolves around a little girl sticking her tongue out at him. Oh well, guess that's more important than his views on the Middle East Peace Process then. Of course it really would have been a story if he had turned round and stuck his tongue out at the little girl!

When I saw the picture I thought: "What is Sarah Teather doing in Israel?"

More away days, more gimmick shots-NO POLICIES.Why would anyone be interested?
Blame the organ grinder!

Absolutely, could it have been a 'put up' job one wonders? Perhaps the paparrazi are now moving on to the politicos.

Poor old Dave. Making rude signs behind his back is becoming a habit.

What the hell ARE his views? With no substance it is inevitable that hand gestures and tongues will be the only stuff in the papers. The same in the Sun by the way. Can you help us all by explaining Dave/id's views and policies on the Middle East?

This is all very unfair since he won't know what he thinks until policy groups report.
PS-Newton,sadly the next phaze is in front.

Surely no one seriously thinks a little girl in Israel has the faintest idea who the leader of the British Opposition is? Do you think she would recognise the leader of the German Opposition?

She was just a little girl sticking her tongue out at the camera because children think that's high wit. I'm sure the name David Cameron has never entered her young life.

I am extremely angry at what I perceive to be the Torygrah's anti Cameron stance. There was a comments section on the webpage, but it mysteriously disappeared between 8.50 am and 9.30.
The DT is more like the Daily Tonygraph rather than the Telegraph.
I have cancelled my sub to the Telegraph, It's not worth buying whilst it comes up with this nonsense.
The only thing worth reading now IMHO is the Motoring section on Saturday with "Honest John", I shall miss reading it.

Better still if she'd gestured to someone else!

If it was not for that picture would anyone have bothered to cover his trip?
All publicity for Dave at the moment is good publicity.

Verity is absolutely right. Nobody outside this country apart from a few people in right-wing think-tanks in the States knows squat about David Cameron. And, in any case, what are his views on the non-existent Middle East Peace Process and why should anyone care?

Even the Brish electorate!
