Hazel Can't Find Room for Tony

In the glossy brochure Hazel Blears is sending out to people to encourage them to vote for her she's seen grinning alongside the Chancellor, but sadly nowhere could she find space for a picture with the man who created her, our beloved Dear Leader, Mr Blair. Wonder why that is, then.

"The man who created her"? Oh, Iain. You've put all manner of unfortunate mental images in my head, and now it's going to take a long time to expunge them.

Doh ... Keith Bradley, now Lord Bradley was the only MP I know who used a Blair pic on his print. He lost by the biggest swing of all our losers. (12,000 votes, 17%). That was 2005. Two years on Hazel is correct. Didn't see all her 2005 print but I'll try to find out whether Tone got a look in then ...

It's a mugs game being pictured with TB these days. Actually like having political TB.

Why? Because she wants to be elected.

The latest opinion poll shows Tory support down 5%.

It's a delight to see these greedy-eyed charlatans scrabbling for advantage as their ridiculous party falls to pieces.

Perhaps this could be the reason "The Tories' lead over Labour has fallen sharply in the wake of the Budget, according to the latest monthly opinion poll for The Independent" and it gets grimmer and grimmer "The Tory lead has dropped from 11 points to just four " We are going to be re-elected under Gordons leadership you know, and there is nothing you can do about it but blog, and then blog some more, silly Tories.

I must admit, I thought Gordon was going to be the 'nearly' man of UK politics - but the fact that he has staged that mini-coup last year and the failure to come up with an alternative candidate means that surely, at long last, the job is his.

Nothing can now go wrong, can it..?

Or has the Prince of Darkness got one more Ace up his sleeve...?

TB is the old, Gordon is the new.

We are not falling to pieces, seen the latest poll in the Indy, appears the voters don't think we are falling to pieces either.

It's what he does best.

Nice to see the trolls at work as usual.

Like their mythic counterparts they don't seem to have more than a brain cell each as they seem totally incapable of keeping their replies tied to the thread's subject.

Morons!

Hello unable to understand why you would call me a moron if I am indeed one of the trolls you are referring to ? This is the kind of remark which is easy to make in front of your computer but not so easy to make if we were face to face, don't be rude.My postings were to do with the thread or replying to comments already made.If you should reply accept that I will not insult you and I would appreciate it if you did not insult me.

Ironic that in the country Gordon is such a figure of hate, disliked far more than TB. The Gp cannae stand GB.

Iain

You actually read the Guardian?

Why? Is This some sort of penance? What did you do to deserve this?

Gordon's ability to repel voters is almost mystical, Hazel's pandering to the Brownite nutter lemmings in her party I suppose.Silly chipmunk!

Hazel has no chance of being D Leader.I reckon Hain will have boosted his chances though following triumph in Northern Ireland.

Can't help laughing at the scrum of z-listers running for 'deputy' leader, while no-one dares try for 'leader'. Sadsters.

Mike - I for one really appreciate your valuable contributions to this blog.
Take no notice of Kafka.
But dear boy, do check your breath and sniff your armpits every so often. All that activity must take it out of you.
Have you thought of taking a holiday?
